Where: Jo’s Suburban Homestead in Sandy, UT
When: July 25, 8-10 (11?)
Enjoy the peak of summer with this beautiful blue dye from fresh indigo leaves. Be prepared to learn now to harvest indigo leaves, prep them for dyeing, and finally dye your own beautiful silk handkerchiefs, bandannas, or large silk scarf.
Simple and fun, you will go home with one of these:
Silk Handkerchief Set (4 handkerchiefs)
Duo of Silk Bandanas (2 bandanas..one for you, one for a friend??)
Mixie/Matchie: 2 handkerchiefs and one silk bandana
One bigass scarf, like the kind you would give to your rich mother-in-law
Handkerchiefs are 11”x11”
Bandanas are 21”x21”
MIL scarf is 35”x35”
DISCLAIMER:
This is held in my backyard. Please no dogs or non participating children. While this event is geared to 16+, if you would like to buy a ticket for your WELL BEHAVED child, they are welcome to join.
It will likely be hot. I usually gather indigo leaves around 6 AM on the days that I dye because it is cooler. I have a mister fan on the well shaded patio, cold beverages and a cool kitchen to spend some time in if you need it.
Make good choices so I can continue to share this with others.
