About Katie, Jo, and Vecinos Marketplace
Vecinos Marketplace is an opportunity to share what the earth gives us. We’re here to share our knowledge about growing, cultivating and gathering. We consider ourselves stewards, and believe that abundance resides in sharing knowledge, hard work, and resources. We want to inoculate our neighbors with curiosity and a collaborative spirit as an antidote to today’s polarity.
Meet Jo Cosby
I like to work hard. What ever I am passionate about gets my full attention. I grew up gardening and most of the yard space at my home is gardens and chickens. I bought a wool mill in 2024 as part of my long term plan to support shepherds in the Utah Fibershed. I think sheep are incredible animals to share the Earth with and appreciate all they do for us. I try to live my life in a way that balances give and take, ebb and flow. It is really important to me to meet people where they are at to connect and grow as humans.
Meet Katie Boué
I’m a professional marketing strategist turned full-time gardener and chicken mom. After a decade working in the digital advocacy space trying to save the planet, I was burnt out by politics and yearned to reconnect with the earth around me. I’ve been an urban homesteader in Salt Lake City for the last five years, growing everything from elderberries and garlic to apples, herbs, tomatoes and rhubarb on a little half acre.
